Can’t put them out: SUPERDRIVE unleash 'I’m on Fire'
Updated: Oct 2

Things are about to get seriously hot. Luxembourg power-rockers SUPERDRIVE are back with their new single I’m on Fire, a full-throttle rock anthem with a bit of a blues feel, that bottles the adrenaline and sweat of being on stage.
Released on 30 September, the track sees the four-piece perform what could be described as driving dirty rock, with great guitar riffs, and a muscular rhythm section building towards a chorus that demands to be played loud.
Where their previous single How Does It Feel took a more reflective approach, I’m on Fire flicks the switch and goes straight for the jugular. The song captures that split-second when the house lights go down, the amps fire up and four musicians suddenly become one unstoppable machine.
“I’m on Fire is really about how we feel when we’re on stage. There’s an energy that takes over when the four of us play together. You feel powerful, completely alive and, for that moment, pretty much unstoppable.” Said Baba Pintsch, the band’s guitarist and vocalist.
The lyrics leave little doubt about the mood. With images of smoke, sweat, sparks, flames and roaring guitars, I’m on Fire is all about embracing the heat and riding it until the very last note.
"I’m on fire, I’m burning bright, lighting up the shadows, stealing the night" begins the chorus with the cheeky message on the next line: "Can’t put me out."
The single follows How Does It Feel, which picked up regular airplay on RTL Luxembourg, landed on multiple playlists and helped push SUPERDRIVE's music well beyond Luxembourg's borders. The band now has Spotify listeners in 37 countries, with particularly strong followings in Brazil, Canada and across continental Europe.
With its classic-rock roots, modern punch and unmistakably live-wire energy, I’m on Fire sounds like SUPERDRIVE doing what they do best: turning up, plugging in and letting rip.
Light the fuse, turn it up, SUPERDRIVE are on fire!
