Grand Duchy, grand groove: Luxembourg hits jazzahead!

Luxembourg jazz is packing its bags and heading to jazzahead!, the world's largest annual international jazz industry trade fair, conference, and showcase festival, held every April in Bremen, and it’s starting to feel like a yearly tradition. From 22–25 April 2026, Kultur LX rolls into Bremen with a full crew of musicians, bookers and scene-shapers, all flying the “Jazz from Luxembourg” flag.

It's four days of networking, deal-making, and low-key flexing in front of thousands of global jazz insiders. The goals are new gigs, new partners, and a few raised eyebrows along the way.
But this year there's something special: 2026 marks Luxembourg’s very first official Clubnight at the festival.

On 24 April, Tor 40 plays host to a triple bill that shows just how wide the local sound has become, from the cinematic textures of Veda & the String Machine, to the groove-heavy link-up of Arthur Possing Quartet, and the genre-bending energy of Singülar.
Before the music kicks off, there’s the classic pre-show mingle entitled the “Jazz from Luxembourg” reception, where industry folk can meet the delegation, swap ideas, and maybe sketch out the next big collaboration over a drink.

All of this lands at a moment when Luxembourg jazz is clearly on the move. With recent appearances at festivals like Jazz à Vienne and Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, the scene isn’t just showing up, it’s being noticed. And Bremen might just be the next step up.
