Before anyone else gets to hear it, Luxembourg alternative pop-rock artist Marcy has given scene.lu an exclusive first listen to her brand new single Until She Minds, arriving officially on 12 June, and it’s a catchy firecracker of a song!
Fierce, and emotionally tangled, Until She Minds blends catchy alt-pop hooks with raw rock energy and just enough tension to make things deliciously uncomfortable. This one is built for festival season.
Following the release of her 2025 EP backwoods, Marcy’s latest single dives headfirst into the blurry emotional territory between friendship, attraction and the kind of denial that only makes things messier. Inspired by a real-life situation where a male friend slowly developed feelings while his girlfriend spotted the signs long before Marcy did, Until She Minds unpacks emotional cheating, female intuition and the awkward fallout of crossed boundaries. "Don’t get marcy wrong; she’s all for true friendships being possible between people of
any gender and sexuality. But most of us have been either one of them at least once:
The friend, the partner", Marcy explains.
Rather than painting anyone as a villain, the track plays out like a late-night realisation: part warning, part apology, part “oh no, she was right all along.”

Musically, Until She Minds pushes further into the sound Marcy has been steadily carving out across Luxembourg’s alternative scene, punchy contemporary pop wrapped in gritty guitars and emotionally charged vocals.
There’s a restless energy running through the track that feels tailor-made for open-air festival nights, which makes its release date particularly fitting.
The single drops the very same day Marcy performs at the 2026 edition of the Francofolies Esch/Alzette festival on 12 June at 18:20 on the Clairière Stage where she joins a line-up mixing international heavyweights with emerging regional talent. However, you might just get a sneak preview of the song, as Marcy also performs the night before for an intimate gig at Pitcher Café also as part of Francofolies festival.
Marcy is one of Luxembourg’s exciting alternative pop voices, balancing glossy melodies with darker themes and social unease. Her backwoods era explored inner chaos, burnout and modern disconnection through a blend of contemporary pop and 2000s-inspired rock textures. That same DNA runs through Until She Minds, though this time the emotional knife cuts a little closer to home.

Having already appeared at events including United Islands of Prague, Culture Forest Festival and Koll an Aktioun, while also opening for artists like Livingston, and One Last Time in February 2025, Marcy continues building momentum well beyond Luxembourg’s borders.
Marcy doesn’t seem interested in writing clean-cut pop songs about uncomplicated feelings. She prefers the messy stuff the moments where nobody quite knows who crossed the line first. And that’s exactly what makes this one original and very much an earworm. You'll being humming it long after it ends!
