What an electric night at the Rockhal! After hours of anticipation, the Grand Duchy has spoken. The Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 delivered high-octane performances, a nail-biting voting sequence, and ultimately, a winner who is ready to take Vienna by storm.
In a stunning victory, Eva Marija has won the ticket to represent Luxembourg at Eurovision 2026 with her evocative anthem, "Mother Nature."
The night in review: Eight candidates, one dream
The evening kicked off with a lineup that proved just how much the Luxembourgish music scene has evolved since the country's return to the contest. The eight acts brought a diverse range of genres to the stage, making the jury and public's job incredibly difficult.

The superfinal: A three-way showdown
After the first round of voting, the field was narrowed down to just three finalists. The "Superfinal" saw a repeat of the three highest-scoring performances, setting the stage for a final 50/50 split between the international jury and the public televote:
While Steve Castile and Irem both delivered powerhouse vocals, it was Eva Marija who captured the hearts of the nation. Her connection to the song, which she co-wrote during the Rocklab Songwriting Camp, shone through every note.
"Mother Nature uses nature as a symbol of hope, freedom, and groundedness," Eva shared earlier in the week, a song composed by Eva herself, in collaboration with Julie Aagaard, Maria Broberg and Thomas Stengaard. That groundedness was exactly what the audience felt as she was crowned the winner.

Next stop: Vienna!
Eva Marija, who first fell in love with Eurovision at age three while watching Alexander Rybak, has now come full circle. With her violin in hand and a powerful message of resilience, she is a formidable successor to Laura Thorn.
Luxembourg will perform in the first half of the second semi-final on 14May 2026. If tonight's performance was any indication, the Grand Duchy has a very real chance of maintaining its perfect qualification record, and maybe even bringing the trophy home.
Gratulatioun, Eva Marija!
