After more than two decades at the heart of one of Luxembourg’s best known and most loved bands, Raphael Dumont, better known simply as Raph, is leaving The Disliked. The announcement marks the end of an era for a band that has become synonymous with high-energy shows, infectious good vibes, and a healthy dose of humour.

In a statement shared with fans, the band explained that the decision came after “a lot of thought and honest conversations,” making clear that this was not a sudden or easy change for anyone involved.

“Our singer Raph has decided to step away from the band. This wasn’t an easy decision for any of us, but it’s one we respect fully. Raph has been a huge part of who we are and what we’ve created together.”

For many fans, Raph’s voice, stage presence, and unmistakable energy are inseparable from The Disliked’s identity. Over the years, he helped shape the band’s sound and spirit, contributing what the band themselves describe as “the voice, the energy, the words, and the unforgettable moments.”

A band built on fun, not ego

What has always set The Disliked apart is their refusal to take themselves too seriously. From sweaty club shows to festival stages, their concerts are known for being loud, joyful, and wildly entertaining, a celebration rather than a performance. That playful attitude has earned them a loyal following far beyond Luxembourg’s borders.

While Raph’s departure is significant, the band is clear: this is not the end of The Disliked.

“While this chapter is ending, the band itself is not. We’re continuing forward, writing new material and shaping what comes next. New music is already in the works, and we’re excited about the direction things are heading.”

Honouring the past, looking to the future

To mark this transition and celebrate the era they built together, The Disliked are opening up part of their history to fans old and new. Their very first album, Fresh Trash, along with the song Can’t Get Up Again, is now available on all major streaming platforms.

“These releases mean a lot to us, and we’re proud to finally make them easily accessible to everyone.”

There is also one final moment to look forward to for fans of Raph-era Disliked.

“On March 1st, 2026, we’ll be releasing one final song featuring Raph on the vocals. It’s a proper goodbye, and a celebration of what we made together.”

Still plenty to come

True to form, the band isn’t dwelling on endings. They’ve promised that there will be more in 2026, signalling that this next chapter is already well underway.

“Thank you for sticking with us, supporting us, and listening to our music. Stay tuned, this story is far from over.”

For a band that has always thrived on connection, fun, and forward momentum, The Disliked’s message is clear: the lineup may change, but the spirit remains the same. And if their past two decades are anything to go by, whatever comes next will be just as loud, lively, and joyfully unapologetic.
