Deep Dive Culture: New single, new depths

Luxembourg alternative rock band Deep Dive Culture have dropped a powerful new single today (20 February) entitled “Flooding Gates,” now available to stream on Spotify.

This release adds another exciting chapter to the band’s growing catalogue and gives fans a fresh taste of what’s to come as they build momentum toward their highly anticipated full-length album, Latest Hours, which is set to drop on 28 March.

The sound of the deep

True to their name, Deep Dive Culture continues to explore the "oceanic" depths of the human experience. "Flooding Gates" leans into the band's signature contrast: the tension between Kevin Heinen’s vulnerable, "broken" vocal delivery and the explosive, wall-of-sound energy provided by Naomi Garofalo (guitar), Paul Hoffmann (keys), Jean Nyssen (bass), and Daniel Wahl (drums).

If you’re a fan of dynamic shifts, this is for you. The band is good at the art of the "quiet-loud" transition, starting in a place of introspective melancholy before the "gates" burst open into a cathartic, guitar-driven peak.

It’s a track that feels specifically built for their upcoming live show; you can practically hear where the pyrotechnics may hit. It’s polished enough for the radio but retains a raw, emotional "edge".

Save the date: Latest Hours album release

Looking ahead, Deep Dive Culture are gearing up for a major milestone: the release of their first full-length album, Latest Hours, set for 28 March 2026.

To celebrate the album’s launch, they’re hosting a release show at De Gudde Wëllen in Luxembourg City, featuring support from Marcy.

Tickets and event details can be found in scene.lu's events section.
