Cupid takes aim at your heart with single 'Forever'

Cupid may still be a relatively new name on the Luxembourg music scene, but with each release he’s steadily discovering a distinctive space in the country's growing pop landscape. His latest single, "Forever", is an emotional, atmospheric journey that explores one of life's biggest questions: how can you ever know if love is truly meant to last?

From its opening moments, Forever invites listeners into a gentle, almost dreamlike soundscape. Delicate vocals and understated production create an intimate atmosphere before the track gradually blossoms into something much bigger. Layer by layer, the song transforms into an energetic slice of melancholic pop, with shimmering synths, textures and a powerful emotional payoff.

At the heart of Forever is the uncertainty that comes with love. Whether you've known someone for years or only a matter of days, there are never any guarantees. The inspiration behind the track came from a single thought that suddenly appeared in Cupid's mind: "What is forever if forever isn't with you?" From there, the song quickly took shape through a collaboration with Swedish songwriter and producer Mattias Skantze, who co-wrote the track and handled its polished production. Together, they've created a song that feels both deeply personal and instantly relatable.

The vocals were recorded at Sonotron Studios in Differdange, adding another Luxembourg connection to a release that showcases the country's ever-expanding pool of musical talent.

Forever also demonstrates Cupid's growing confidence as an artist.

From lifelong pop music fan to emerging pop artist, Cupid is a new independent artist from Luxembourg making his mark with heartfelt, contemporary pop. He launched his music journey in autumn 2025, debuting at the national auditions for the Luxembourg Song Contest with his first single, Come & Get It.

Since then, he's continued to build momentum with a string of releases, including Dirty  bringing us to his latest single, Forever released on 17 July. These tracks will all feature on his upcoming debut EP, which is currently in the final stages of production. Inspired by a lifelong love of pop music, Cupid is determined to bring his own emotional, atmospheric take on the genre to audiences in Luxembourg and beyond. "Ever since I was a kid, pop music has always played a big role in my life. Now, I'm excited and determined to share my pop vision with everyone," explained Cupid.
