If you’re a Luxembourg-based artist about to drop a single, EP or full album, don’t let it disappear quietly into the algorithm. There’s a simple way to give your release a bit more visibility, and a story to go with it.
At scene.lu, we’re always keen to support and showcase local music. If you send in your new release along with a short story behind it, we’ll write a dedicated article about your track, EP or album. That article can then be shared across your own channels and used as part of your wider promotion.
What to send scene.lu...
To get featured, all you need is:
A short story about the release (inspiration, background, recording process, collaborators, and/or what this release means to you)
If you have an audio or video link (Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, YouTube, etc.) that can be embedded directly into the article, that helps to boost the article.
If you have it already, then links to your new single, EP or album would be nice so it can be heard and written about but will of course not be published unless advised otherwise.
That’s it. No long press kits or marketing jargon required, just the music and the story behind it.
Why it helps
A scene.lu article gives your release an independent editorial write-up and provides a shareable link you can post on social media, send to venues, bookers or media together with an embedded player or video, (if you have it) so people can listen or watch instantly. Hopefully this will then provide extra visibility within the Luxembourg music community and beyond.
One release, one story
Whether it’s your debut single, a long-awaited EP or a full album, every release has a story worth telling. We believe local music deserves context not just a link dropped into a feed.
So if you’re releasing something new, send it our way and let scene.lu help turn your music into a story people want to read, listen to and share.
How do you go about it?
Just send an email to contact@scene.lu giving as much info, and links as you can about your new release. It’s as easy as that, but don’t send big files in emails, the best and safest for you is store online somewhere like Dropbox and send a link or use something like WeTransfer.
scene.lu looks forward to hearing and writing about your upcoming releases! And remember: Be heard, be scene!
