Luxembourg’s ever-evolving music scene has an exciting new release. ENGLBRT, the collaborative project of Georges Goerens and Niels Engel, return with “Godspeed”, a new single that feels both weightless and meticulously engineered.

From the outset, “Godspeed” leans into the duo’s signature tension: organic emotion meeting precise electronic craft. Built on shimmering textures and restrained propulsion, the track unfolds like a slow ascent, never rushed, always deliberate.

It’s a sound that feels expansive without losing intimacy, echoing the pair’s ability to balance indie songwriting with a more experimental, almost scientific approach to composition.

That approach has been central to ENGLBRT since day one. Formed during a creative period at Kulturfabrik, the duo emerged from Luxembourg’s rich musical ecosystem with a shared desire to push beyond genre boundaries. Their music blends elements of electronica, contemporary jazz, and indie pop into something fluid and hard to pin down .

“Godspeed” feels like a natural continuation of that journey, but also a refinement. There’s a clarity here, a sense that ENGLBRT are zeroing in on what makes their collaboration tick with subtle grooves, layered atmospheres, and melodies that reveal themselves gradually rather than all at once.

For those familiar with Goerens’ work in Bartleby Delicate or as frontman of Seed to Tree, there’s a recognisable emotional thread running through the track. But within ENGLBRT, that songwriting sensibility is stretched, refracted, and rebuilt alongside Engel’s rhythmic and production-driven instincts.

The result is music that feels less like a traditional band output and more like an evolving sonic experiment, one that continues to gain depth with each release.

Since their debut EP Odes to Everything and a series of immersive live explorations, the duo have steadily carved out a space that is uniquely theirs .

With “Godspeed”, ENGLBRT glide forward. And if this track is any indication of what’s coming next, their trajectory is heading in an exciting direction.
