On 7 March 2025, Luxembourg-based artist David Sundorn releases his debut album, Time Machine a personal and reflective record shaped by change, challenge and rediscovering music. The release will be marked with a launch party the same evening at MK Bar in Belval.
Time Machine was born during a difficult period. After David’s family moved to Luxembourg, he initially stayed in the Netherlands for work, commuting every weekend. Months of travel, isolation and professional pressure eventually led to burnout. Music became a way through it.

Picking up his guitar again after more than 15 years, David Sundorn began writing instinctively, letting emotions guide the songs rather than overthinking them. The result is an album that reflects everyday highs and lows, musically inspired by 90s and 00s indie rock and Brit-pop, with hints of 80s sounds and country. Catchy melodies sit alongside lyrics that tell honest, personal stories.
The album is dedicated to David’s father, who passed away in 2024. A huge inspiration and his biggest supporter, he was able to hear the songs performed live before the album was finished, making Time Machine all the more meaningful.
Since first performing in late 2023, David’s journey has gathered pace, with festival shows in summer 2024, local radio airplay in 2025 and the recent formation of a full band. The album was recorded with local producers Danny Menezes and Tom Jean Farmer, keeping things raw and authentic rather than over-produced.
Sometimes, moving forward starts with pressing rewind, and Time Machine is proof that revisiting where you’ve been can be the key to finding where you’re going next.
