Luxembourg melancholic-rock outfit Go By Brooks marked the release of their third studio album Push Back the Night with an album-release concert on Saturday 25 October at Centre Culturel Opderschmelz in Dudelange.
The band formed in 2013 and - led by vocalist/guitarist Laetitia Brooks alongside Nicolas Palumbo (guitar), Sacha Heck (bass), Jérôme Moes (keys) and their drummer Steve Krippler - previewed the record’s intimate, hybrid sound to a hometown crowd.
Push Back the Night (out now) shifts the band toward a calmer, gentler atmosphere without losing the raw emotional core that fans know, exploring resilience, the search for light in darkness and questions around the status of women.

The album follows earlier album releases - Oceans and Another Flame - and several EPs, and was promoted this year by the single “Woman,” a more pop-driven cut that offered a first glimpse of the new direction.
The Opderschmelz show combined the new material with reimagined versions of Go By Brooks’ standout tracks, allowing the band to showcase the record’s layered arrangements and Laetitia’s evocative lyrics in a close-up setting.
Local organisers and the band emphasised the concert as both a celebration and a listening moment, giving attendees a chance to hear the album performed live in full.
Go By Brooks have built a steady profile in the Greater Luxembourg scene and beyond, known for subtle vocal harmonies and melancholic melodies that balance darkness with hope.
With Push Back the Night, they appear to be widening their palette while staying true to the emotional core that has defined their sound, a move likely to deepen their reach across BeNeLux and into international festival circuits.
