Of Italian and Portuguese heritage, he draws on Mediterranean passion to infuse his soulful pop with raw emotion described as "à fleur de peau".

While he admires contemporary pop icons, it is chiefly the expressive depth and sincerity of performers like Lana del Rey, Woodkid, and Nina Simone that have shaped the delicate blend of timeless allure and modern artistry defining his musical world — a distinctive style that has already seen him open for prestigious artists such as Sam Smith, Dean Lewis, Loïc Nottet, and Mahmood.
