Arken
Arken is a heavy metal band based in Luxembourg and originally founded in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2015 by guitarist Raph Ronin. Influenced by classic acts such as Iron Maiden, Helloween, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, the band combines traditional heavy metal with lyrics that address social issues, personal struggles, and literary themes.
The band released its self-titled debut EP in 2018, followed by the Arken Opening Tour 2019 and an appearance at Metal Stock Festival. In 2020, Arken contributed the single Hope to Roadie Metal's Six Years Heavy compilation. Their debut full-length album, Social Nightmares, was released on December 23, 2023, featuring ten tracks that showcase the band's approach to melodic and traditional heavy metal songwriting.
Arken is currently preparing the next phase of its career with three new singles scheduled for release from August 2026 onward. These releases will introduce material from the band's second full-length album, scheduled for 2027, marking the beginning of a new chapter following the success of Social Nightmares and the expansion of the band's international audience.
